Hi all, I have just won a Tamron SP AF 10-24mm F3.5-4.5 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) lens. I have not had the opportunity to try it out yet. Has anybody got one? what do you think of it? All comments greatfully received. |

It’s a great wide angle zoom for the price. You’d have to spend at least double for the Canon/Nikon equivalent. Everything I’ve seen from the one I demo at work has been spot on. |

I don’t have any experience with the Tamron 10-24mm lens. However, I extensively use the Tamron 11-18mm lens on my Canon XSi. I love it and I’ve been very satisfied with this lens. It really comes in handy since my camera, with the APC-sized sensor, actually gives me a 17-28mm equivalent lens.. The wide angle really comes in handy for landscape photos. |

Sorry Jamie just call me thick. BTW have you had a chance to try out a Pentax K7 ? They are supposed to be good for HDR’s. |

I have one, Kevin. A very nice lens. Good build, nice optics. I had a Sigma 10-20 prior to the Tamron, and I actually like the Tamron better. How did you win the lens? |

I was runner up in a local photographic competition. I could not say about the Sigma never used one but I have their 70-300 and that is quite good. |
