Ho notato un cosa strana che sta succedendo con il rating. Le persone votano 9/10..10/10 anche con foto mediocri che non meriterebbero un rating alto. Tutto questo succede per guadagnarsi la prima pagina. Credo che sia una situazione assurda. Aspetto di provare la versione 3.0.

I vote 10/10 if I feel that the photo deserves it. If a photo gets front page then obviously it has earned the right. I hope Romano that none of my front page images can be classed as “mediocre pictures” seeing that you commented and voted on them.

I think voting is completely out of control, front page is not justifying a 10. There is this 8-9-10 club voting on every of picture of themselves to high. It’s no fun anymore, sorry

Hai ragione Roberto. C’è un gruppo di iscritti che si votano a vicenda dandosi rating altissimi, tutti 9/10 o 10/10 a foto che non meriterebbero un rating così alto e la prima pagina. Pensavo di essermi sbagliato ma non è così. In pratica costringono le altre persone a contraccambiare il favore…e questo non da il giusto valore alle foto. Mi sto stancando di questa situazione e penso di andarmene, tanto la mia assenza non la noterebbero in ogni caso. Mi dispiace ma questa è la realtà.

Jorg, you’re right! The rating is out of control.

Romano is right voting is out of control, but I vote for what I like and not what I am told to like!! If the person that I vote 8,9 or 10 on want’s to give me a high vote then it is down to that said person. I can not influence the voting on my photos and would not wish to!! Larsen, jorg has a good portfolio but it is not to my taste and rather than give him a vote and comment of no use to him I abstain from commenting or voting on his photos. That said if in the future I see a photo by him that I like then I will comment and vote.

I think it would be a good idea if you couldn’t rate or even comment on an image until you have uploaded at least 5 of your own.
There are one or two people on here who seem to post negative and non constructive comments about images whilst having none of their own posted
for others to pass comment on.
I am not the most prolific poster but I do post images which anyone is welcome to pass comment on. I think this gives me some entitlement to comment on others images.

Anyone have any thoughts on this.

you are posting on site called HDR Creme, right now it’s more Whip Creme than anything else. pictures posted show no or little sence for composition and post treadment skills are very low. that’s my opinion, let me here yours.

I feel that voting should be private…My feelings! Just like voting on a president…The votes have categories…fair, good, great, superb, Fantastic or what ever….I feel we should comment and vote…simple…Forget about telling the candidate what we voted…You thoughts…Mr R

I also agree with Degsy…No comment until you post at least 5 images…..

that’s how i do it, i’m not really into that comment thing and in return collecting all these thanke you notes. it looks too much like doing each other some favors here.

I totally agree that ratings shouldn’t be allowed from someone who has posted nothing. I also think that absurdly low ratings shouldn’t be applied in an effort to balance what may seem to be a bias that is too high. I am glad that anonymous ratings don’t appear to be allowed.

What I don’t understand is, how can an image with 8 ratings, none below 8, most being 9 or 10, be given a 6.2 Rating in the box just below the image?
