Relative to the new format… How can an image with 8 ratings, none given below an 8, and most being 9 or 10, be given a 6.2 Rating in the box just below the image?

edit

Now that I’ve actually been able to get the images on the site to load (which is another problem entirely), I see what you mean.

I went back and looked at a few of my own photos, and noticed the overall average is much lower than what it originally was. According to what people rated it at, it should be much higher. My “Frozen Rose” image, for example, had 14 votes with ratings between 8 and 10, and yet the overall rating is 6.2. Obviously the math isn’t adding up correctly on the new site.

My post “Tough as nails” had either 15 or 16 votes and a rating of 9.5 when Creme 2 was abandoned. It now has an 8 vote rating of 6.2. What gives with that?

I noticed this as well. All of my photos are between 6.0 and 6.2. Not what they were before. The dynamic range of the rating system is definately not very high!

Creme 3.0 hasn´t chenged for the better …

Hardly anything works properly here. All ratings are lower than before. I want Creme 2.0 back!!! :-))

Must admit when I turned on HDR creme yesterday and saw HDRCreme 3 I was surprised to see how complicated it was to navigate. Can some one tell me why HDRCreme is associated with Flickr and Twitter etc. can the site not stand on it’s own feet. Also paying for special privilages that don’t offer true value for money is really a money generating exercise for the owners of the site. The Rating system has a major issue that must be corrected pronto!!…. The back ground template looks very childish and asian looking and should be more of a style that suites what we are about. I for one used to check HDRCreme every day and when I had time would submit images….this new look and complicated style I will give a couple of weeks trial first….Owners I think you may have it wrong time will tell. Cheers Stu (NZ)

Hiding the vote would make voting so much more fair. What if we voted for president and as we walked out of the building a neon sign showed our vote to the world…The site has gotten way too clicky for me…..

@razfoto
you can vote without comment from 6 and up. only if you want to be “mean” (5 and lower) you have to explain it. if you post a comment after you voted, it will show your rating.

I am a new member of HDR Crème and as such have had a fresh look at how the site operates and therefore I’m not influenced by any prior problems etc. What I see is a site that has some great and some bad HDR….. That’s to be expected. I also see a vote that is highly clicky and reflects more of games being played in order to win… Anytime the emphasis is on “developing friends” in order to have more people voting on your photos as happens here, well, you have all of the problems that you have here…. I think the best way to improve it is to have a “Blind” voting system where the numbers are only 8, 9 or 10 and the person voting is unknown to all. If you don’t like it, don’t vote, but, if you do vote, it must be an 8-9-10. That would eliminate all of the wild voting wars that seem to have taken place. If it’s a blind vote it would also eliminate all of those stupid wall writings…(Thanks for your comment and vote) What a waste of time and energy that is.
For now I will just continue to enjoy the better images that are submitted, but, I will withhold submitting any more of mine until a new, better system is in place that reflects more on the images rather than game playing.

@franklamica: the “blind” voting system is what hdrcreme community asked to remove from the previous website release. BTW if you don’t comment the picture your vote is not showed.

Hi Carlo
Remember I am new so I don’t know who had responded in the past, but, I wonder if the people who didn’t like the blind vote are the same ones now out there trying to make friends with others in order to get votes for their photo’s. One of your past winners explained to me when I joined that if I wanted to win, I had to play the game….. I have also had members ask me to vote for their pictures…… There is another well known HDR site that has unknown Editors that pick out the best on the site.

If you still want the members to vote, then I still say a blind vote, with only an 8-9- or 10 is the best way to go. Think about what it says about the site when one person who has won a lot on here tells me, a new person, that it’s really not about the photo, but, how to play the game…… I think that totally destroys what you are trying to do here when others have turned it into game of I win, I win…..
