Hi guys. I was hoping for some advice. I recently began getting into HDR with my old Canon 350d with some very encouraging results. I recently purchased a 5d Mark II but have been unable to improve or match my HDR efforts. I am aware the 5d only does 3 bracketed shots but have seen plenty of excellent results with other 3 bracketed shots from other postings. I am aware of all the basic camera settings for successful HDR (low iso, auto bracketing, tripod etc). I sense that my 5d may have some other settings which are foiling my HDR success. Mirror lock up for one and various other numerous functions I have at my disposalC Fnt 1: Exposure FnII Image FnIII Autofocus/Drive Fn IV Operations. Are there any particular settings in this part of the camera which will be vital to the success of HDR? Any pointers from 5d owners or other knowledgeable HDR photographers would be warmly received. thanks |

That is the one downside of Canon cameras. They are limited to 3 exposures for their bracketing function. I’ve just adjusted my shooting style to deal with it. |

I purchased a 5D Mk ll W/4 Lenses about 6 Months ago and wished I had my money back. Its a great Camera, but back then, I didn’t know about HDR. About everything I shoot now is HDR. I love it. |

Just found out about the Promote System today. I think this will solve my problem and let me keep my 5D Mk 2. I can take 11 or more exposures on the 5d 2. |
