Mile Marker 13

As I was leaving Monument Valley our guide, Cliff Zenor said, \"Be sure to stop at mile marker 13, look back and take a picture.\" This is the result. Cliff was spot on in recommending many great photographic locations.

this is incredibly beautiful. Such a great wide angle you have, you've captured everything splendidly.

Nice shot, I like the orange tones. The sky is a little overcooked though.

I just drove through this area a week ago. It is beautiful place as is. Too bad you had to adulterate it with HDR. I am not a big fan of HDR. Great picture though.

HDR really isn't a good technique, most pictures don't look good at all with HDR. Otherwise, a great picture. I will keep this in mind if I ever head over to Monument Valley =D

It would be better if it wasn't tonemapped to pieces. Still cool though.

John Rodriguez, Monument Valley is in AZ, though there is a Monument, CO. Mego, have you ever spent any real time in the southwest? Colors happen!

Put a mega pixel digital camera in the wrong hands and this is the sort of pseudo hi-def, colour saturated, levels enhanced piece of crap you will get. Oh for the days of 25asa ektachrome and an Olympus OM1 fully manual SLR which would have taken a truly spectacular picture.
