Christmas at the Capitol - HDR Photo

The rain stopped just long enough for me to make a photo pit stop at the California state capitol on my way home from wine tasting in Auburn with my girlfriend. Read more about it on my photo blog @ http://www.anvilimage.com/2009/12/california-christmas.html.

Fantastic composition. The wet sidewalk ties it together. This photo is simply excellent.

Nice! What did you process with other than photomatix and CS4?

As far as my workflow, it is largely based on that which is explained on the tutorial over at stuckincustoms.com. I also do a few other things like multiple curves adjustments in order to adjust the white balance in different areas of the image, clean up

the sky to remove halos, add contrast, and sharpen. The part of Trey's tutorial that talks about layered exposure blending is very important and I always clean up any light sources in this way. I also use Adobe Lightroom II to manage all of my image files

and do some final adjustments there, too (color temp, rotation/cropping, post-crop vignette, etc).
