ok ok .. please don't hate me! But i don't agree with the beautiful of this shot. My first impression is that is Grey, or a "flat" photo, maybe was the weather but this is compromising the photo. And I do not see the details "so much looking at" by everyo

everyone in a hdr. About the composition I like the lines that points my eyes to the boat but the street-light really disturb.(and the cars too :( ). I can't understand your principal subject. Anyway these were just my toughts and impressions, please don

sono d'accordo con larsen....trovo la foto un po' noisa! per me è da 5/10..

On March 04, 2010 13:34

I'm with Larsen and Athlon. Mediocre i'm afraid. I'm inclined not to vote on it aswell. The 'front page' system on this site needs some serious revision! Just my opinion.

On March 04, 2010 14:50

Digicam, just purely out of interest and nothing else, if this picture had been posted by someone else how many points would you give it and why?

On March 04, 2010 14:52

I respect everyones opinion. If you are signed in and download the image to fit your screen and view it rather than the front page image I think you would see difference in image.

On March 04, 2010 17:05

I see little to NO noise in the image. Perhapsw it isyour screen or maybe mine just doesn't show it. Whatever.Sure it's NOT the BEST image. Maybe not even the Best of the Day.

However there are some members who viewed and thought it was worthy of the vote it got. If it would make everyone happy for me to remove it then say so.

On March 04, 2010 17:11

To answer your question of a score Matt. If you are anyone else had uploaded this image and it looked as it does on my screen I would have scored it an 8/10.

On March 04, 2010 17:17

I also wanted to mention the dark gritty look to the highway and sidewalk is NOT NOISE but actual color and wear to the surface. Thanks for your opinions....digi

On March 04, 2010 17:31

Fair enough, i don't see any noise so i don't know what that's all about.

On March 04, 2010 17:34

I got not problem with noise. I don't see noise (except some jpg artifacts@100%dimension), and seems nobody talk about. >quote>If it would make everyone happy for me to remove it then say so. <quote> LOL i don't think this is interesting. Interesting is

Interesting discussion ;-). To be honest - I was also surprised on the score - I gave 6P. The main reason for this is the missing focal depth - only the boat and the house seems to be within the focus range, so the image apperas quite unsharp and flat.

I also don't think that the image has a noise problem. And the perpective/composition is well chosen.

Quoto Larsen... non penso che i problemi della foto stiano o meno nel rumore....
