Composition, with the gate, is perfect. Provides the depth necessary to set this apart from what may have been just another so so panoramic aspect. Leading lines in the river helps too!

Differing opinions on gate or no gate, I'd like to see a no gate version first, either by cloning/content aware brushing in more bushes, or just cropping.
