There is a lot going on in this image. IMO I would have backed off leaving the elks a part of a grander image and making the entire interior the story.

Making the entire interior would have made it worse, there was just too much in that store to focus on and really liked the battling Elks. I tried to focus on them but I guess I failed on the comp. Thanks for citing that out anyway.
