The Industrial Technical Institute "UMBERTO Follador" has a long and established tradition in mining.
The mining school was established Agordo after the liberation of Venetia from Austrian rule in 1867 by Decree of the Minister of Industry Quintino Sella, to prepare for the future to the Italian technical assistant. But the birth of the School can be traced back to the previous century with the decree that the Senate of the Republic of Venice, given the importance of deposits of Valle Imperina issued September 26, 1775, and where it is, specifically, the education of young to be used in mining operations.
With the Decree of the 15.12.1927 School joining the Ministry of Education.
On 1 October 1933 the Royal School of Mines Agordo was converted into Royal Technical Institute to address Mining, going to become the school today, with new possibilities of development.
