Burton Wold Wind Farm is located just off the A6 close to the village of Burton Latimer in Northamptonshire. The farm contains 10 E70-E4 turbines, each one having the ability to produce electricity for around 1,000 homes; put another way - each turbine produces roughly 2.5% of the total electricity needed to power all the homes Kettering. The magnificent turbines stretch 99.5 meters into the sky and give the landscape an ultra modern look, and you know what - I like it! It was particularly windy for a normal March day which caused some problems getting my shutter quick enough so the blades didn't appear fuzzy. I eventually decided to put down the TSE lens and stick to a good old fashioned wide angle, no doubt I'll be back with more equipment, more time a bunch of new idea's. We haven't seen the last of these turbines!
