On our trip to Lanzarote we went for a pathless walk through the vulcanic scenery, down in the village Haria we stumbled upon a sudden change of the landscape and found ourself in the "valley of a thousand palm trees". It is said that for every girl born down in the village, a palm tree grows as well.
