Hidden behind a small pine forest, on a deserted beach of Villa Argentina, stands the work now known as the Eagle's Nest or House of the Eagle, in the beginning called the Chimera. Was originally the place of refuge from the Italian businessman Natalio Michelizzi, pioneer of the spa. His project was conducted by Juan Torres in 1937 by artisanal means. The enormous eyes are the windows in the living room, from which the river is directly observed.
After the death of Michelizzi in 1957, the Eagle was abandoned for 20 years
In 2003 the residents of the area, downtown Atlantida and the Ministry of Tourism decided to rebuild and return it to the Municipality of Canelones which enabled him to public visitation.
