The Markets of Trajan [1] is an extensive complex of Roman buildings in the city of Rome, on the slopes of the Quirinal Hill. Since 2007, host the "Museo dei Fori Imperiali."
The complex, which originally extended beyond the limits of the archaeological area, in areas now occupied by modern buildings, was designed primarily to house the administrative activities related to the Imperial Forums, and only to a limited extent in commercial activities, which may took place in open spaces on the sides of internal streets.
