Lone Birch - HDR Photo
This was taken on the eastern shore of Lake Huron. The shoreline was rebuilt with rocks to prevent erosion and this tree is growing among the rocks. Shallow soil of mainly gravel, harsh winters, and the constant westerly winds can't defeat the tree's growth!
