This picture was taken between Princes Street and The Royal Mile in Edinburgh. These very narrow streets are known as 'closes' and are surrounding on each side by tall tenement buildings. In medieval times, the people used to throw their liquid waste out of the windows on either side with a shout of 'Gardy Loo', a corruption of the French 'Gard de l'eau' (although it was never water!). Pedestrians soon learned to duck... On this day, two tourists were about to walk up the steps. I asked them if they would mind waiting for 10 seconds at the top of the stairs while I fired off 5 shots.

Interesting story, great frame and process. Beware of the camera that does not pull water from a window.

I love it. I give you a 10 because you got the two people to stand there for 10 seconds... That and it's a great shot.
