A canal in an area of Venice that sees fewer tourists than most. Despite the clouds, there was still bright sun which made the scene very contrasty - a perfect subject for HDR.
The HDR was made from 3 automatically bracketed shots.
Why do you doubt his authenticity, Digitalizer?
Looks very good to me and my Canon can fire three bracketed shots in about a second. I like your shot just fine, Rob, unless you went the way of Hebert...
excuse me for my bad english...
Take a look at the boat, it looks like it is moving... If this picture has been made of three shots, you must see some moving-effects.
Well, It seems to me that this picture is made from one photo with different exposures..
It's definitely 3 photos taken with a canon eos 40D. 3 bracketed shots take less than half a second - check the specs. You don't see movement artifacts because the boat is moving towards the camera so there's minimal change from one shot to the next.
To add to my last comment, I did have to clone out some movement artifacts, but they were on one of the people on the bridge who moved his head not the boat.
