some people don't like the way I comment/suggest/critc and place notes on their pictures...and I heared from them, how can i do that without being as "good" as they are. Now, maybe we can compare this with critics (i.e. of a local newspaper) for movies, TV shows, Theater or books. Mostly none of them ever made a movie/TV-show or wrote a book ...and still they critic. Why ? because they have eyes (like me) to see or to read. they can tell what they like or not like. some things are obviouse, specially when we are talking about the technic. Because only this can be somehow measured, as the art the artist looks at things depends on his own style. Sure there a some guidelines, but also they can be broken. Still, in photography and HDR work there are some things which are visible (and to some disturbing) under these belong: # not straight horizons (intentional tilting doesn't fall into this) where the photographer simply forgot in post processing t level it # distortions of the lens (again excepted to give a special effect with a (ultra) wide angle) like barrel and perspectivic distortion # noise because of high ISO or insufficient light # typical effects because of overdoing the HDR or similar funktions, saturation or contrast (i.e light halos ...usually on dark edges / dark toning around lighter objects ...like a dark blue aura around a white cloud in the sky / dirty looks on clouds, walls or other surfaces) Special "old foxes of the trade" should now about them. I don't say that all comments must be right, but when pointed at them, it should be possible to see what it means (good for this is the possibility of the note function to be placed in the picture to define the area) Others is a personal taste or preference, like color tones (this can be also a matter how the screen/display is adjusted), too light or too dark, or the angle of view.... which might not fit to its own favorites. Sorry when you feel offended, it supposed sometimes to be funny/ironic ....never bad..... only a tipp to look at your picture and check through the points mentioned. In case I mentioned only "bad things" and didn't tell you how good it is, look at the vote I gave you for your picture...guess you will hardly find one under 8 which says already great ......Thank you for reading
