A Little About Me
from my blog CertainPointOfView.com
I've been involved in photography in one way or another for quite a bit of time. I started out with a Canon Rebel shooting film back in 1997 and later went digital with some point-and-shoots before getting my first DSLR, a canon XTI, in 2006. I don't feel nostalgic about film, but I still have my old Rebel and even have some images on the site taken with the kit lens I got with the camera all those year ago. If I feel any nostalgia, it's for my first camera. I keep the kit lens in my bag for old time's sake even though I never use it anymore.
I got into photography more deeply as I began to travel to Israel & Palestine with my non-profit The Bethlehem Christmas Project (If you've looked through the blog, you've seen at least a few photos from Jerusalem). As I traveled, the ability to quickly capture a once-in-a-lifetime image became more important; I started digging in focusing on the fundamentals and diving deep into post-processing.
Somewhere along the way I discovered HDR and fell in love with what it allowed me to do and create.
From there, I just began to shoot, get better equipment, and work at- it honing-in on what I like to shoot.
I tend to post an image 6 days a week and usually take Saturdays off, but sometimes my schedule may get too busy and will only post 5 times.
