This is the first shot of 4 that i’ll be uploading from my day trip to the St Albans Cathedral. This building was incredible, at 84 metres (280 ft), its nave is the longest of any cathedral in England. With much of its present architecture dating from Norman times, it became a cathedral in 1877, and is the second longest cathedral in the United Kingdom. This is a 3 stop HDR taken at f3.5 of the choir stands overlooked by the organ pipes. I was a little worried about setting up the tripod here as it was pretty busy and I didn’t want to get in anyones way. I had to keep waving people past until I found an opening long enough to take the shot without peoples heads appearing in the image. Just as we finished taking this shot the choir appeared and started to sing which was my cue to move on. Keep an eye out for the rest of the shots from this set in the days to come.
