Thanks - I have had this discussion before. Colour and contrast vary greratly between monitors. I use a calibrated expensive graphics monitor to edit photos and I think it's OK on this. All subjective though.

This subject is also muted in colour anyway - the stone and tiles were not strong in colour. It's a challenge always to avoid slipping into the 'over done HDR' look don't you think? But they do grab attention.

Kevin - yes b&w does work well on this. See the b&w pic I did of a stone coffin in the crypt at Lacock. You may like that one.
