  • Notes Bracketed 5 shots. Lots of problems caused by moving people, needed nmasking in CS4 after tonemapping. Tried using Photomatix Pro, but not happy with the result Easy HDR did a better job in this case, but still had to do a fair bit in CS4 to get it looking right.

Bath Abbey bathed in the warm light of the Sun just before dusk on a cold Wintery day in March. It is normal to see this square a hive a people and street performers.

Would rather have had a few clouds in the sky for added interest. But you havbe to go with what you've got.

Could someone give me an idea why they thought it only worth 4/10 ?

Yeah, a 4 is a bad joke. Overall, I like the image. Nice light, good balanced exposure. Nice job masking. That said, I do have an issue with the framing. The chopped off window on the left is distracting, and the abbey is too centered. 7/10!

In my humble opinion!

Should have warned you this site sometimes attracts the odd idiot. I like it 8/10.

Now I look at this afresh, I wish I had toned down the blue of the sky. And some clouds would make it a lot more interesting.
