A statue of the late England and Yorkshire cricket legend Fred Trueman has been unveiled in a North Yorkshire town where he lived for many years.
His widow Veronica unveiled the bronze sculpture at a ceremony in Skipton attended by cricket luminaries, including umpire Dickie Bird.
Mr Trueman, who played 67 tests, died of lung cancer in 2006 aged 75.
Mrs Trueman said: "It's fantastic to see Fred back in Skipton standing in such a beautiful location."
She added: "Fred was a passionate Yorkshireman and he really loved this part of the world, so it really is a great day for all his family, friends and fans of cricket."
The Fred Trueman sculpture was funded by the Fred Trueman Appeal which was set up by Northern Rail and Craven District Council in 2007.
It was made by sculptor Graham Ibbeson, who has also crafted statues of comedians Eric Morecambe, Les Dawson and Dickie Bird.
Councillor David Crawford, chairman of Craven District Council, said: "Fiery Fred was a staunch Yorkshireman and we are proud that his statue is here in Skipton, the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.
"It's setting by the canal is a great spot to come and think about Fred and reflect on all that he contributed to cricket and his country."
Mr Trueman became the first test player to reach 300 test wickets and ended his career with a total of 307 from just 67 tests.
