The pier was put up for sale in 1989 and again in July 1991. The pier was closed and seemed doomed.
In 2010, a local support group, the Victoria Pier Pressure Group announced their plans to acquire the Victoria Pier.
However, with an estimate of £5.5 million pounds to restore the pier, this will be a very challenging project.

Thats a shame Maurizio.....it was just about to rain and the clouds were moving in, it does usually go dark when that happens.I think that it adds to the sombre look of the image.

In this case I agree with Maurizio. IMHO without losing the somber tone, it could clarify, mainly under the dock to see more details.
