My son graduates this year from high school so I attempted to take a decent grad photo. After processing the HDR, I noted that the face and hands come out “harsh” as we all know what the HDR process does to portraits. That is a good look for seeing lines and wrinkles. However, this was too harsh for my young son, yet the other aspects of the scene were great in a harsh HDR, I then combined HDR + “0” exposure extract of the face and hands and imposed on the HDR. I did a 3 exposure shoot. Simple terms: I cut and pasted :-)
