The tree was lit last night with around 250,000 people in attendance. It's always a special night in New York City when it comes time to do the countdown and flip the switch to light up the tens of thousands lights that are strung on five miles of wire.
The 74 foot tall Norway Spruce was cut down in Mifflinville, Pa. and trucked to Rockefeller Center several weeks ago. The tree belonged to the Keller family who thought for years their tree would make a great Christmas tree for where it now proudly stands.
The lights will be on until January 7th. After that, it will be turned into lumber for the housing charity Habitat for Humanity. A fitting end for this beautiful tree.

Spectacular first post, great processing always difficult night shot.
I'm not very affection the lens distortion, but in this case, it looks great.

Now, it is a bit dark and there might have been an use of lighter exposure as well but it is brilliantly executed, I like it

I like that you used fisheye lens. though i cant see to much of dynamic range , i dont like those black areas
