The Castel Sant'Angelo (or Mole Adrianorum or "Castellum Crescentizi" in the tenth or twelfth century.), Also known as the Mausoleum of Hadrian, is a monument in Rome, connected to the Vatican through a fortified corridor of the "small step". The castle has been radically changed several times during the Middle Ages and Renaissance located on the right bank of the Tiber, opposite the Pons Aelius (now Ponte Sant'Angelo) are close to the Vatican, in the Borgo district
