This picture was taken at -10C during a walk along the river Conon in the North of Scotland. The sun was shining brightly and catching the frost that had gathered on all the trees over a period of days. This picture was from a hand-held shot later tonemapped in Photomatix.

I do not need high-speed to freeze the motion of the branches. The image transmits the cold of that day.
