On Sunday I went to visit relatives in another department (state), an area of countryside.
On the way back, stopping to take pictures, I see an establishment with many horses.
I ask permission to take photographs and caregiver very friendly let me pass I ask because there are so many horses, and tells me it's a slaughterhouse, I say, "but in Uruguay do not eat horse meat!"
He says, "not, is for export "
In the midst of the conversation I said, this colt you see there (is in the picture) has three months of age, Was left an orphan(the spotted horse that is next door, is another male), and the owner sells it, because not convenient feed it... "Requests $ 200, (dollars)" I found very cheap.
I always dreamed of having a horse, the problem is where to have it, my house has one hectare (2.5 acres) of parkland.
would not know if well, or is small.
I have until Wednesday to convince my wife, and respond to the caregiver.
Wish me luck.
In case I buy it, I have named: "Jacinto Clay"
Jacinto because the zone is called "San Jacinto" and Clay, it is the name of the slaughterhouse.
P.S. @ Arnie: you can have a horse in 2.5 acres?.

I can feel the colt's fur, smell the soil and grasp the texture of the fence. All of that plus a sense of softness overall captured in the scene.

Great shot. When your wife sees it, she will let you keep the horse...
