Great opportunism. Something different. I disagree with Rainer, can not say you do not have HDR process without seeing the original. Only GPiX can say if I make some HDR process, with different exposures.

Thanx a lot for your comments, guys!!! @ ruhri: it's a hdr-image but as most of the time I tried to keep it natural. In the original image there was by far too much contrast. I used hdr-processing to visualize the water splashes below the wings and to acc

...entuate the feathering. I decided to keep the highlights on the wings and in the back, otherwise the scene would have become too confusing due to the vast amount of water drops...

Love the chest and neck feather detail. You can 'feel' the effort it takes for a lumbering four-square equatic bird to get close to being airborn
