As my wife and I were traveling from Old Faithful back to Mammoth Springs via Snowcoach, we had an opportunity to stop several times along the way and get some great pictures. As great as those pictures were though, I kept looking at my watch and looking at the sky in hopes of beings somewhere picturesque during sunset. We knew our ride was supposed to last for about 4 hours and I realized that this 4 hour mark was very close to sunset. The final 30 minutes of our ride were very painful for me because I could see the sky beginning to turn all of these glorious colors. And since my wife and I weren't the only passengers on the Snowcoach, I didn't want to ask to stop and inconvenience the other travelers. Just when I thought it was too late to capture the sunset picture I was after, our Snowcoach stopped. Out in the distance was a mountain peak which had the final rays of the sun still shining on it. I rushed outside with my tripod and camera and setup on the snow-covered ground. I set my tripod very low and had to kneel down in order to see through the viewfinder. Man was the snow cold on my knees.
