I should know better by now than to post a soft focus picture of a river with no spectacular elements, other than just being a beautiful spot. I used my tripod to help me navigate my way across the the river on stones that could have sent me into the water. Thankfully nothing but my feet got wet. I sat there for about 5 minutes taking in the beauty of this simple river that had for years been harnessed to provide power for a now deceased mill. One thousand years from now, this spot will most likely look the same, the mill being only a temporary impediment to it's power.

An idylic shot, there is some magenta color cast.

I like the soft processes, but here I see some flat rocks, with lack of texture, like water. However, the foliage looks superb. Heavenly place.

I personally would argue.. "no spectacular elements". All of nature is spectacular to me. 9 for photo and 1 for dancing with the one that brung me..!!

too pictorial effect, with significant loss of texture

Image is far too soft IMHO Randall. It loses Definition. Luminance does not seem to give your images High Dynamic Range or else you just choose for too soft a look.
