This one of the carvings on the inside of the 15 century Little Morton Hall in cheshire, the entire building has carving such as this all the way through, I have uploaded this one for johnt to take a look at, with his fascination for wood and carving I thought it may be of interest to him to see how they did it in England five or six hundred years ago, dont expect to win any prizes for it though:)(Nikon compact camera)

Detail is excellent.. good process. I have admiration for carves who who have been doing it basically the same for 5000 years. No real upgrades in fancy technology tools in this specialized craft.
