This Iris fascinates me. Depending on the light and how open the flower is, it can vary in colour from so dark as to appear almost black, dark to medium brown, dark to medium purple, and dark to medium red. But the flowers only last a few days. It's photos like this that allow me to enjoy them all year.

I've never seen an Iris so red! I think just a little more space at the bottom would improve the image.
