This was taken at the infamous St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. I was actually quite shocked that I was allowed in with a tripod since most people have told me they don't allow it. I was stopped at the door by the security there and was asked a bunch of questions, which is to be expected since I had a huge camera bag and bulky Manfrotto tripod with me.
There were about 20 people in frame during this shot. I took long exposures at ISO 100, F 10 to reduce their visibility. The ones that remained I had to clone or deghost out.

"clone or deghost out" I dont like! Maybe those white spots in the foreground are the "ghosts" ?

The Lighting falling evenly in Foreground explains the White area for Me Bill. I know full well how hard it is to rid ghost from a scene. Immaculate Post...Favorite!

Love it. A bit noisy in a few spots, but otherwise awesome.

i think the "white spots" you guys are referring to is the lighting. There is no trace if a person in this pic I promise you. The bright spots are from the light coming in through the door down the aisle.

i could have stood back more but i would have walked into a wall of tourists with cameras. I dont think you guys understand how many people were actually inside this church when i took this

Great details and exposure! But I would use more dodging and burning in Photoshop.
