Thank you for the votes and appreciate the comments. Part of the problem was that the red buses started to lose the London redness if I globally reduced the saturation. Guess I should have tried local de-saturation.

Apologies Darrel I meant to comment that its the reds for me that are too saturated. More on the faces of all the people within the image & of course the cars & buses...

I like the perspective and the process of painting. Some problems with the whites look gray.

Thank you Inkslinger. I'm embarrased to admit it, but I've only just found out tonight that I can reduce (or increase) the saturation of individual colours in Photoshop using hue/saturation with it's 'eyedropper'.
