This is the village of Aldbury in Hertfordshire, it is the most filmed village in the UK. Used as a movie and TV location for many projects, most famously it was used in the movie "The Dirty Dozen". This was taken on a wonderful autumn morning, cold enough for a "thin" layer of ice on the pond and a sprinkling of frost on the shaded grass and reeds.

A nice view and composition. I like to see the ice in the grass. Like the sky. Shades in front a little distracting and think the shot needs a little more contrast. I suppose you had to stand up very early for this shoot, you are on the right way!

Lovely scene

I was at first going to agree about the lack of contrast, but then I think that the fact that it is a frosty scene would make it have less contrast. Very nice scene and great processing.

Thanks for the comments everyone, recently I am struggling.... left saturation at zero but still am getting a colour tone on all my images I do not like...

I am also getting lost in the processing, so many ways to turn but never seem to see what I am aiming for. { expept in other peoples work }... I am missing a vital piece of the puzzle..

As Dirk says, are on track, I also think it lacks contrast, just a great picture. I seem to see Lee Marvin.
