Yesterday's Raleigh area sunrise was a real beauty... a near-perfect mix of clouds and space between them, seen here just as the sun topped the distant treeline. Advancing low pressure systems often provide the much-desired gap-at-the-horizon component, allowing illumination of the cloud base. Sweet view... and a great reason to be an early riser!

chromatic aberrations are seen,
equally beautiful image. PS Camera Raw is very good for removing C / A.
