This is not an exercise in composition but an exercise to see whether I could do a night shot without the usual bracketing.Night shots are always an excuse for me to try different ways of getting similar results.I think I have ever only shared two others. This was 2 exposures(one 120 secs, one 15 secs) made into 10 exposures.5(120 secs expo) were tone mapped and the same5 were fused(natural). The darker exposure was also fused using natural(this was used to paint out all blown highlights using layers). Many layers of adjustments were done to arrive at the final image. In my humble opinion I think digital blending really is the only viable way to get decent night shots :-)

Nice results, especially the lighting. You can even see the illuminated refuse in the 1st dumpster, ha ha

Excellent technique that involves a lot of work, the result is in sight, no blown highlights and sharpness is amazing, there is no noise, very common in night shots. As arrives does not matter, the result is that approached the dynamic range of the sensor
