@eric: to understand the reason of selective colors the only thnk you have to do is imagine that this flag is your country flag maybe you can understan, flag left edge is jot blured it is in movement because of wind strength.

Selective colour, to me, is not something that I like. In this case, however, because it is the national flag above a national hero, it is easily acceptable. Good decision to do this. The b/w is perfect, too.
