Gregorio Luperón (September 8, 1839 - May 21, 1897), was the 21st President of the Dominican Republic is best known for being a Dominican military and state leader who was the main leader in the restoration of the Dominican Republic after the Spanish annexation in 1863.

I love selective coloring. In this case it shows a love for the flag which is in turn a love for country. BRAVO

@eric: to understand the reason of selective colors the only thnk you have to do is imagine that this flag is your country flag maybe you can understan, flag left edge is jot blured it is in movement because of wind strength.

The selective color seems a very good resource if well used, in this case there is no doubt, great composition, process and selective color choice.

Excellent composition and process, like what you did with the b&w/ flag, think the sky would have look great in color also.

Selective colour, to me, is not something that I like. In this case, however, because it is the national flag above a national hero, it is easily acceptable. Good decision to do this. The b/w is perfect, too.
