My understanding is that snow is colourless and that it reflects surrounding colours e.g. a bluish tinge from the blue sky or greyish when it is overcast. Well, it was cloudy when I took this photo and the snow is a bit greyish. By the way, yellow snow is an entirely different story. We have patches of yellow snow in our backyard because of our two dogs. Anyway, we had had a nice, gentle snowfall comprised of huge flakes that gathered nicely on our spirea bush.

Actually there is a lot of delicate detail when downloaded and looking at the branches. This is a difficult subject, and the result is very natural.
