The interior of the Woodward Avenue Presbyterian Church. This photo was taken from the upper level of the Church. Note the elegant gracious curve of the upper level, a feature of the Church and how the pews are designed to parallel the inner rail, also a feature of the Church. If we look downstairs and to our left however, we see melting snow and a large puddle on the main floor. The floor here is rotting, one had to be careful walking in this area. The central floor of the Church adjacent to the pulpit is covered in debris. To our right the residual broken frame/cabinet of a once impressive organ, pipes long removed, is seen. Review of the walls reveals numerous areas of peeled away plaster showing wood that in places appears to be rotting. The light fixtures are broken and rusting. Further review of the upper level is more cause for dismay. The pews have seen better days and need resanding and restaining. A small piece of yellow tape warning "Caution" is seen. This warning is well advised, the adjacent floor is broken and disintegrating.
