The chapel was built in 1904 by Bertha Wilhelmine born Böcking for her deceased husband, Louis Albert Lapointe. The widow Lapointe found their final resting place in 1929 in the crypt of the chapel. In addition, the remains of Charles Louis Narcisse Lapointe were (1773-1855) transferred to the chapel and placed his grave obelisk nearby. At present, the prison from 1953 to 1965, the chapel was used as a prison church. After remedial measures in the 1980s, they fell into a coma. The Association of Friends of Gutskapelle Imsbach In the period from 2005 to 2007 caused considerable cash and non-cash benefits for a comprehensive renovation of the chapel and monument just an attractive design of the chapel environment.
