Once again at White lake, this is from the same night as the previous sunset photo at White lake but looking away from the sunset, hence the title. That sunset was one of, if not, the best sunset I've ever seen. Deep reds and oranges around the setting sun and behind, deep pinks and blues and purples.
This lake is conveniently located minutes from my home, so I go there often.
Processing details:
Initially processed back when I first took it in Photomatix.
More recently, in Photoshop, I added a high-pass filter layer, and brushed in another copy for some more color definition.

An excellent cloudscape! The bright orange/magenta cloud in the upper left is a bit distracting and pulls the viewers eyes away from the rest of the scene.

I agree with spiritofweston.
I think desaturating only the sky would improve the image. Nice composition anyway. =) 9++
