The Supermoon rises over Windsor,Ontario, shot from Belle Isle across the Detroit River. I found this shot very demanding. Initilly I tried joining three shots but the rise of the moon was beyond the software and there were dreadful halos. I then tried the 0 exposure, too much noise. Finally I went to the +2 exposure. F 11, ISO 400, 25 sec exposure. There are still problems. There is still noise in the picture, despite my best efforts to get rid of it, more obvious on download. If you look critically at the moon it is slightly elliptical, more obvious on the download, reflecting motion on the 25 sec exposure. I would very much appreciate you comments on how this shot could have been improved.

You should have taken another shot of the moon with much faster shutter speed to avoid movement and to get some detail of the moon, then just add the moon to the other image.

The Moon looks oblong rather than round. My only suggestion to improve the shot is more exposures and processing in Photomatix for more detail Joe.....9+ IMHO.
