I can't include the bottom of the gate because I prefer what the sky looks like.

Great shot. A tiny bit to much magenta color cast. IMHO

Nice image. Maybe try a less long exposure. The stars in the sky become trails now wich doens't look great IMHO. Is stars are your fav thing, maybe you can try a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barn_door_tracker

Your title and subject matter do not blend Mark. I understand what you're after but the gate and house dominate the image, not the evening light....8+
