The last time I heard my dad play this trumpet was about 30 years ago. He was an incredible jazz musician. He gave this to me about 10 years ago and I have treasured owning it. Every time I open the case, The scent brings me back to my childhood.
I can still hear the sound of Duke Ellington's "take the A train" in my mind.
