Don't see much HDR effect in your post. Composition itself is Fine for creating an HDR image however. Good Effort for a First Post....Keep Shooting.

A very pleasing image. The subtle HDR effect works with this image. The composition could be improved by slightly cropping (see note).
nice composition, try shooting a few exposures for more range in the contrast. Welcome!
