While on a recent bicycle tour in Vietnam, I cycled through a village marketplace. This was a sensory overload like I've never experienced-- vibrant colors, the smell of fish and dead animals, and the dancing and singing of children. I captured a glimpse of a woman with black teeth-- (which I later learned was a cultural and traditional sign of beauty), (caused by chewing betelnut.
