This was right before the BIG storm hit today. AEB with a Canon Rebel -2, 0, +2. The usual. No tripod, out my car window because it was raining. Couldn\'t kill the slight halo without removing the nice contrast in the clouds. Opened in Photoshop CS4 and duplicated layer and did a high pass filter on 5PX, then set it to overlay and it really sharpens the image. This is a sharpening trick I learned in the book \"I\'ve Got A Human In My Throat\", by the Worth1000 artists, of which I am one (rupturedspleen). I agree that we should have more dialogue on this site. I have a lot to learn and this is a great place to get tips and give advice. God knows I can use some.

Nice shot. I've also used a slight unsharp mask on my high pass layer. It gives it a little extra punch without bringing up the grain. Gotta love HDR & clouds.
